Intimate NYC Wedding at The East Pole | Rainy Day Micro Wedding Inspiration

Intimate NYC wedding portrait - bride & groom looking at camera.

When you think of New York weddings, big ballrooms and city skylines might come to mind — but intimate weddings can be just as meaningful, stylish, and memorable. Amanda and Matt chose to celebrate their love with a micro-wedding in Manhattan at The East Pole, a chic Upper East Side restaurant that was the perfect backdrop for a cozy gathering with their closest family and friends.

A Love Story That Led to NYC

Amanda and Matt’s story began in Las Vegas, but their journey led them back to New York for a wedding that felt true to who they are. Originally, the couple had planned to marry in a large destination wedding in Cabo with guests flying in from around the world. But they realized they wanted they wanted some family members who might not be able to make the destination wedding. While Cabo as still happening, they decided in having the wedding ceremony in a private, smaller, intimate setting — and an intimate NYC wedding was the answer.

The result was a celebration that proved you don’t need hundreds of guests to make your wedding unforgettable.

Rain on the Wedding Day? A Perfect Twist

The original photo plan was Central Park, but heavy rain changed everything. Instead of panicking, Amanda and Matt embraced it — moving portraits to the lounge of their East Side apartment. Champagne, caviar, mezcal, their impeccably dressed pup Rupert, made the session effortlessly chic.

Pro Tip: A rainy wedding day doesn’t mean your photos are ruined. It can actually create cozy, editorial-style imagery that feels unique to your story.

Chic Restaurant Wedding in Manhattan

After their intimate ceremony with just immediate family. Amanda and Matt celebrated with a dinner and dancing at The East Pole. The restaurant’s warm interiors, delicious food, and inviting atmospher created the perfect setting for heartfelt toasts, laughter, and dancing.

If you’r considering a restaurant wedding in NYC, places like The East Pole offer built-in character, an intimate atmospher, and a memorable dining experience your guests will never forget. It’s proofe that a amaller wedding can feel every bit as special — and often more personal — than a grand affair.

Editorial Details & Personal Touches

Amanda’s bridal look was nothing short of chic and editorial. She wore a stunning Maison Signore gown from Kleinfeld Bridal, a dress that balanced timeless romance with modern sophistication. Her veil, a delicate design by Bella Bride Veils added the perfect touch of softness and movement.

And let’s not forget the shoes — Amanda chose Jimmy Choo heels, the kind of statement detail that elevates a bridal look into pure fashion. Every step felt worthy of a magazine spead, adding that editorial polish to her portraits.

Matt looked equally dashing in his classic black tuxedo from Suit Supply, a sleek and refined choice that perfectly complemented Amanda’s whimsical yet sophisticated style.

Together — with Amanda’s couture details, Matt’s sharp tailoring, and their adorable pup Rupert’s in his black tie — the day struck the perfect balance of personal, stylish, and editorial.

Why Intimate NYC Weddings Are So Special

Whether you’re planning a micro wedding elopement, or restaurant reception, intimate celebrations give you space to focus on what truly matters: connection, love, and personal details.

And if the weather throws you a curveball? Let Amanda and Matt’s wedding be your inspiration — sometimes the unexpected turns into the most memorable part of the day.
