Introduction
Giando on the Water is one of Brooklyn’s hidden gems — a waterfront wedding venue with sweeping views of the Manhattan skyline. It offers couples a romantic backdrop that feels both elegant and distinctly New York.
When Lisette & Danny chose Giando for their wedding, it became the perfect canvas for a celebration filled with love and joy with family, friends and unforgettable views.
The Bridal Suite: Spacious & Accommodating
One of the standout features at Giando on the Water is the bridal suite. It’s spacious enough for the bridal suite. It’s spacious enough for the bride and her closest family to get ready togethr, with plenty of room for dresses, hair, makeup, and hearfelt moments as her women tribe, mom and sisters helped her with her final getting ready touches.
For Lisette it was the perfect place to share her first look with her father while her mom and sisters looked on — an unforgettable memory framed by the suite’s elegant mirror.
The suite also offers sweeping views of the Williamsburg Bridge and Manhattan skyline, making it both functional and beautiful.
Pro Tip: Photographers love suites with plenty of window light, and Giando has that in spades. Natural light not only flatters everyone, but also ensures your photos look fresh and luminous. When choosing a venue, always check the getting ready space — you don’t want to be stuck in a dark room with no natural light if it can be helped.

The Ceremony: Skyline Views & Perfect Timing
Lisette & Danny exchanged vows outdoors with the iconic Manhattan skyline behind them. The watefront setting gave their ceremony a truly cinematic feel.

Pro Tip: For summer weddings at Giando, plan your ceremony after 5pm — the golden-hour light makes everything glow, and your guests will thank you for the cooler breeze.
Cocktail Hour – Indoor & Outdoor Options
Guetst at Giando on the Water can truly enjoy the best of both worlds during cocktail hour. Outside a shaded canopy offers a comfortable table alfresco experience — perfect for summer evenings by the waterfront. For those who prefer to stay cool, the elegant indoor spaces provide air-conditioned comfort with the same stunning views. Whether outdoors in the breeze or indoors in style, everything can relax and celebrate as they please.

The Reception: Elegant & Welcoming
Giando’s reception space strike the perfect balance between classic and warm —and it’s just as breathtaking as the outdoor ceremony. With a full wall of glass, guests enjoy sweeping skyline views even while dining and dancing.
During their wedding, Lisette & Danny shared a private reception revewal before guests entered the room. Bathed in golden-hour light, they took a private first dance surrounded by floor-to-ceiling views of the city. At one point, Danny dipped Lisette in the middle of the dance floor — the sky glowing in suntones, the bridge arching in the distance, a pure New York romantic moment.
The tables were adorned with towering trumpet vases filled with white blooms. The arrangements added both height and softness to the room, complementing the dramatic city backdrop with classic, timeless florals. The combination of elegant flowers, golden light, and panoramic views made the reception feet both sophisticated and uniquely New York.
Pro tip: If your venue has walls of glass like Giando, plan a reception reveal during golden hour. You’ll not only enjoy a quiet emotional moment together, but you’ll also walk away with some of the most romantic photos of the day.

Guest & Vendor Experience
One of the most memoreable parts of the day wasn’t just the views — it was the hospitality. The staff at Giando were incredibly attentive, making sure guests were comfortable and cared for throughout the celebration.
As a photographer, I was equally impressed by the way their team supported the vendors. On a hot summer day, they made sure my team (the videographer, an assistant, and myself) were well hudrated, offering cold water and checking in with kindness. That kind of attentiveness creates a smooth, joyful experience for everyone involved — which, in turn, allows couples and their guests to simply relax and enjoy the day.
