Central Park in winter is something truly special - the quiet snow, the crisp air, and the timeless skyline views that make it one of the most romantic places to propose in New York City.
For this beautiful couple visiting from Denver, The Lake and the twin spires of The San Remo created a breathtaking backdrop for their engagement. t was chilly, but the scenery was so enchanting that they moved forward, leaning into each other for warmth. Their closeness—and the love between them—made the moment feel nothing but romantic.
She suspected something was up when he suggested a long walk (since walking wasn't exactly his thing), but as they made their way along the snowy path, it became clear why. Zach stopped overlooking the lake, cropped to one knee, and asked her to marry him. Mel said yes - and the moment was pure joy.
Afterwards, we headed downtown to her parent's penthouse in Greenwhich Village, where the celebration continued with a few portraits on the city streets, surrounded by classic New York architecture and that newly-engaged glow.
Their gallery blends documentary and portraits with some softly guided, editorial moments — which I adore creating as a New York City proposal photographer, especially with fresh-fallen snow.
